Privacy Policy
1. Who this is
Enactree is a tool for carrying a group's decisions into assigned, resourced, completed work. This policy covers the information collected through the Enactree web application at enactree.com.
This service is operated by Tiadaghton Works, LLC. Questions about this policy can be sent to support@enactree.com.
2. Information we collect
- Account information. When you register: your name, email address, and a hashed password (we never store your password in plain text). We record when you verify your email address.
- Profile information (optional). A short bio, areas of expertise, and links to your social profiles — all of it is something you choose to add, and you can edit or remove it at any time.
- Addresses. Street address, city, state, postal code, and country, when you attach one to a proposal, project, group, event, or exchange listing. This is the most sensitive category we collect — for many people it's their home. The street address is never shown publicly: only the people taking part in what it is attached to can see it.
- Participation. Which groups you've joined, proposals you've been invited to or voted on, comments and discussion replies you post, and event signups.
- Group records. What you pledge, the offices you hold, items you list on or claim from an exchange, and entries in a group's ledger that name you.
- Photos and files. Pictures and documents you upload. Location data is removed from photos when they are uploaded.
- Operational data. Session cookies (used to keep you logged in) and standard server logs.
- If you contact us. If you use the contact form, we collect what you submit — name, email, topic, subject, and message — solely to respond to you. It is not added to any mailing list or used for any other purpose.
3. How we use this information
To operate the core features of the app: creating and joining groups, proposing and voting on projects, organizing events, and letting people find and coordinate with each other on shared work.
To send you transactional email — invitations, notifications about proposals you're part of, and similar. We do not send marketing email.
4. How we share this information
We do not sell your information.
We use a third-party email delivery service to send the transactional email described above.
We use OpenStreetMap's Nominatim geocoding service, operated by the OpenStreetMap Foundation, to turn addresses into map coordinates. When you add or change an address on a proposal, project or group, the address itself — street, city, state, postal code and country — is sent to that service so the location can be placed on a map. Your name, your email address and your account are not sent with it, and we do not send addresses there for any other purpose. If the full address can't be matched, we retry with just the city and state.
5. How long we keep your information
While your account is active, your information is kept as needed to provide the service. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from your profile page — this is a real, immediate deletion, not a deactivation.
Messages sent through the contact form are kept for at most 90 days from when they're submitted, whether or not they're linked to an account, and are then permanently deleted on a recurring schedule.
6. Your choices
You can view and edit your profile information at any time. You can delete your account at any time, which permanently deletes your account and its associated data.
7. Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. It's required for the application to function and isn't used for tracking or advertising.
8. Children's privacy
Enactree is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
9. Changes to this policy
We'll post updates to this page with a visible revision date. Material changes — like a new category of data we collect or a new party we share it with — will be called out specifically, not buried in a rewrite.
